This section CONNECTS and SUPPORTS your local Homeschooling Community (You) by providing a centralized venue to post and view local activities or homeschooling programs that educate our children and us.

We hope you take advantage of this home school online resource to get involved with your community and participate in activities that broaden your kids’ home school program.  

Suggested home school programs / events posted in the Local Events section may include but are not limited to:

Community  (i.e. Community Events, Theater, Special Exhibits, Concerts, Community Service Day, etc.)

Homeschool Programs and Support (i.e.  Local Homeschool Support Group Events - Science Fairs, Spelling Bee’s, Standardized Test Dates, Homeschool Conferences, Homeschool Seminars, How to Organize a Co-Op, Discussion Group on the Advantage of Homeschooling etc.)

Faith Building  (i.e. Retreats, Parenting, Character Lessons, Raising Teenagers, etc.)

Social Home School Program (i.e. Mom’s Night Out, Quilt Exchanges, Christmas Dance, Board Game Day, Father/Daughter Dance, Homeschool High School Night, etc.)

Here are some gentle guidelines of things that are not considered homeschooling programs and  you should NOT post on this site.  

They include but are not limited to:
50th Birthday Celebrations
Personal Garage Sales
Sale of Household Items
Dog Sitter Wanted
Curriculum for Sale
Political Content
Complaints

Violation of posting unrelated/offensive information in the Happenings Page is cause for immediate removal per Member Agreement.
