Middle School English
Poetry Madness, character interviews and individual writing projects, classic readings and contemporary literature are a few of the things we will explore in class. Students will learn how to analyze literature, how to write creatively, and how to write essays. Writing skills include richer sentences, better paragraphs, organizational tools, idea brainstorming, poetry and story writing. Readings include a plethora of poetry, a play, short stories, non-fiction selections, and novels. Students can suggest novels which we will decide on together. No textbook required. Weekly reading and writing assignments.
