Congratulations to Hannah Newsom for being one of 4 finalists out of over 100,000 submissions in Google's annual doodle4google contest! Ms. Newsom is 17 years old from Fayetteville, AR and homeschools at Glenwood Home School.
Check her imaginative work titled "Illustration" here: http://www.google.com/doodle4google/vote.html#d=d4-7. Hannah, who wins a $5,000 college scholarship, says, “Someday I would like to illustrate storybooks. I want my work to make stories come alive in the imagination with color, and light, and emotion deepening the imagination of the reader, I would want to brighten the world of the viewer and fill it with wonder and delight.” Her work will be publicly displayed at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York through June 16 and at SFMOMA in San Francisco from May 20 through July 19.
