As a member of HSsegue home school online, you have full access to Postings; let's take a look at how this works. Click the pull-down menu for Co-Op Groups; you will see the postings are color-coded, Open listings are yellow and Closed listings are a light red. You can click on a Closed Posting to view the detail, but it is not possible to Reply and the message at the top of the post reads "This offering is closed". Offerings close automatically when their dates are past or when they are full, but the posting owner may also close it manually - we'll see that in more detail in a later segment. HSsegue home school online keeps the closed postings on the board for 30 days then removes them completely. Now click on an Open Posting - you can view the details, and reply as well if you are interested in joining. Just click the Reply button in the upper left of the view. On the subsequent Reply form, you may have some Reply options. In the case of Co-Ops, the options are "Count me in" or "I have questions, please contact me". If you select the "Contact me" option, you may fill in a Comment and send the form to the Poster. Once you fill in your comments, hit the Preview button and review your response prior to submitting; then Submit the form if you are happy with the content. The poster will receive your comments through the Personal Online Messaging System. If you select the "Count me in" reply method, anyone of your family, member of HSsegue home school event planning, that are eligible to participate in the Co-Op are listed in a table, this is based on matching their grade level with that of the specific listing. If none are listed, then it indicates that none of your family members are eligible to participate. HSsegue Home School Event Planning – Member List Now select the member(s) that you would like to participate in the home school program. By clicking the box next to their name and add any comments to the form that you would like to send to the Poster. Click Preview to review your submission prior to sending, then click Submit on the Preview form and you are done! Now notice the MYcalendar tab in the main navigation - click on it and find the dates of the home school program / activity to which you have applied and see that the selected family members appear on those dates. Clicking the date will show you some of the home school program / activity details and their status (in this case "New"). As the poster manages your application, this status will change. Until the status is "Enrolled", though, the family members are not active participants in the activity and you are not considered an active participant. Notice that you can remove family members from the event by clicking on the Delete link and sending a removal notice to the Poster. More about the MYcalendar function later. |
